It was Henry not Gerald - and he was misquoted.

"History is more or less bunk. It's tradition. We don't want tradition. We want to live in the present, and the only history that is worth a tinker's damn is the history that we make today." (Chicago Tribune, 1916)

Nice one, Mr Flow! I'd have missed that if not for you. As it is, it's going straight on the download and burn list. Bluegrass is the music of the world!

Hey! At least the three of us are reading the same history books...glad to be of some service in supporting the truth of history today vis-a-vis WWII.

I am not one to necessarily chime in on the latest political rags, but believe WE HAVE TO SPEAK OUT when folks get the facts wrong on something that happened 50 yrs ago.

Glad to do business with you both, my friends.

Okay, you asked.

Determine the size of Nazi Germany at the opening of its war with the russkies.

Make sure you get the date right.

Then, compare that map with whom holds what percentage of that area in 1945.

Want another?

And thank you, too, my friend - happy to be on the same side as William 'Fairplay' Tell. I also tend to steer clear of the political debates but kochman's airy dismissiveness just rubbed my Caledonian fur the wrong way.

Think I may stay up a while to watch some of the early polling results come in. I just like seeing things tallied - I'm funny that way.

If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve. If I serve, I will be indicted. If indicted, I will cut a deal and squeal like a pig (and then get work as a paid pundit/consultant... so maybe I will run.)
